The Rulaco Story
Our story began 20 plus years ago, long before my business partner, Tom and I had the pleasure of meeting.
The name Rulaco (pronounced RUE-la-co) is a combination of the letters that spell our children’s names. My business partner, Tom, and I chose this as the name for our tiny home building company because we are committed to keeping our focus on family and community.
Community is what drives the tiny home movement, and even though Tom and I have more than forty years of combined
experience in relevant trades, this is the piece we keep coming back to.
In our professional lives, we’ve tackled everything from custom finish carpentry to assisting real estate developers and even running a thriving remodeling business! And in our personal lives, we are wanderers and lovers of the outdoors.
We feel grateful to have lives focused around our families and our passions, and we want to give you the same! It just so happens that our range of experience has given us the perfect collection of skills necessary to build tiny homes! We know you have a lot of choices when it comes to selecting a tiny home builder, so let us tell you what sets us apart from the competition.
In a small space, it’s all about the details. This is where you want a finish carpenter who takes pride in their craft! As remodeling experts, we understand what people wish was different about their homes, and we flex this knowledge for you every day. Oh, and it’s worth noting that as remodelers, we specialized in kitchens and bathrooms- AKA the most important and smallest rooms of a home!
Our experience in real estate development also serves you, as it has taught us how to set realistic budgets and timelines. Rest assured that even in this crazy world, you will pay what we quoted you and receive your home in a reasonable amount of time. In addition, our dedication to transparency means that you will be informed of your home’s progress every step of the way.
They say you have to be the change you want to see in the world, and Tom and I are committed to crafting tiny homes that
free the people who live inside them.
So if freedom, passion, and a family-focused life are what you seek, let us help you say yes to your biggest adventure yet. After all, aren’t we all built to wander?
